Steps
-
Step 1:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.
-
Step 2:
In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until fully combined.
-
Step 3:
Lightly flour the work surface.
-
Step 4:
Roll out the puff pastry on the floured surface to flatten it.
-
Step 5:
Cut each sheet of puff pastry into 9 equal squares.
-
Step 6:
On the top-right and bottom-left areas of each pastry square, cut an L shape about 1/2 inch (1 cm) from the edge.
-
Step 7:
Make each L shape extend all the way down and across the square, but do not let the two L shapes meet at the ends; the pastry should resemble a picture frame with two corners still intact.
-
Step 8:
Take the upper-right corner and fold it down toward the inner bottom corner to form a diamond shape.
-
Step 9:
Place 1 to 2 teaspoons of the cream cheese filling in the middle of each pastry.
-
Step 10:
Place berries on top of the filling.
-
Step 11:
Repeat with the remaining pastry squares and place them on the parchment-lined baking sheets.
-
Step 12:
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
